Designed for Barbies and fashion dolls up to 12”, this dollhouse comes with 11 pieces of furniture, an icy throne and a chandelier.
KidKraft is known for their quality, and this dollhouse is no exception. While not as extensive as other houses from the brand, the Frozen castle boasts stunning artwork on the walls, bright blue colors and plenty of space for kids to play out their favorite scenes from the movie.

Three Floors, Five Rooms
In total, there are five rooms on three floors. The rooms on the first and second floors are separated in the middle by a grand blue staircase that tapers as you climb.
The ground floor features a living space with a white snowflake-themed piano, and a table and two chairs. The table and chairs are lavender in color with a snowflake emblem.
Dolls can climb the blue glittering staircase to get to the second floor, which features another living area. A comfortable blue chaise lounge sits on one side of the room, while a purple vanity (complete with a mirror) sits on the other side. The chaise’s cushion features a snowflake pattern that matches the rest of the icy castle.
The top floor is the throne room, which features an icy blue, glitter railing. Dolls can sit on the throne beneath the blue snowflake chandelier.
The first two floors feature four windows that allow dolls to look out at the world below.

Accommodates Larger Dolls
One of the biggest advantages that this dollhouse offers is that it can accommodate larger dolls. Barbie dolls and other 12” fashion dolls will feel right at home in the Frozen castle. If your child already has an Elsa or Anna doll (or both), this dollhouse is a perfect fit.
Easy Assembly
KidKraft goes out of their way to make assembly as easy as possible with all of their dollhouses. Detailed instructions are included, and all parts are clearly labeled, so you’re never left guessing which part goes where.
We do have to warn that the dollhouse is quite large (about 45.4 inches tall), so it will take a fair amount of time to put together. Some users said assembly took about 40 minutes, while others had a harder time. It took us about an hour to assemble the house.
Considering other KidKraft houses take 2+ hours to put together, we’d say that assembly is simple and straightforward for the Frozen castle.
Also, the box this dollhouse is shipped in can be quite heavy, so keep that in mind. You may need some help bringing it into your home.

Quality, Durable Construction
The KidKraft brand is known for their high quality toys and dollhouses. The furniture pieces and the dollhouse itself is made of composite wood and molded plastic, so it can withstand heavy usage. Kids will get years of use out of this dollhouse.
The walls of the dollhouse feature bright, detailed designs that complement the Frozen theme, and the artwork won’t easily chip or peel like with some other dollhouses. The furniture is made of wood, so it will last quite some time under normal usage conditions.

As mentioned previously, some users found the assembly to be simple and easy, while others had a harder time. Be prepared to spend at least an hour putting this together. If you have an extra pair of hands, it may take a little less time.
Our Verdict
KidKraft’s Frozen Ice Castle dollhouse is sturdy, durable and tons of fun for kids. Assembly might take a while, but it’s worth every second to see the smile on your child’s face. There’s plenty of space to play, and the stunning artwork on the walls brings this castle to life.
The glittering staircase and railings add a little bit of glamour, while the throne and furniture pieces let kids bring their favorite scenes to life. Dolls can sit at the piano and sing “Let it go” until their heart’s content, or sit down for a piece of cake at the table. The chaise gives dolls a place to relax after a long day, while the vanity helps them maintain their beauty. There are so many fun ways for kids to play, and the house is big enough for two kids to play at one time.
